AED (Automatic External Defibrillator)

In order to enhance hotel service and ensure customer safety, Swiss Grand Xiamen has purchased AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) from itself, caring for life safety with great care. AED is stored in the hotel lobby to ensure timely rescue and easy retrieval.

AED is a portable and easy to operate on-site first aid device. AED is known as the "life-saving tool" for sudden death, which can automatically recognize defibrillable heart rhythms. If defibrillation is needed, the instrument will automatically release high-energy current to perform electric shock defibrillation and terminate fatal arrhythmias.

Basic steps for using the LIFEPAK CR PLUS or LIFEPAK EXPRESS Defibrillator

1.     Press the NO-OFF button to open the defibrillator lid (voice instructions will sound).

2.     Hold down the left side of the electrode packet with one hand and pull the redpacket handle down with the other. The electrode packet tears open. Tear down the packet completely to remove the pads. A small piece of thepacket will remain attached to your defibrillator.

3.     Separate the electrode pads, one at a time, from the blue plastic. Using these pads on adults or children 8 years of age or more, who weigh 25kg (55Ib) or more. For infants or children who are less than 8 years of age or who weigh less than 25kg (55lb), special electrodes are needed.

4.     Apply the electrode pads to the victim's bare chest. Be sure to press firmly so that the pads completely adhere to the victim's chest.

Do not remove the pads or disconnect them from the defibrillator until emergency medical personnel arrive. If the victim starts moving, coughing, or breathing regularly, place the victim in the recovery position (as instructed in CPR training) and keep him or her as still as possible.
